Exercise: Lots of walking
Food: 5 bananas, pineapple juice, guava and mandarin smoothie, bunch of grapes, a few dates, a large handful of pistachios, carrot, celery and sweetcorn salad
I've signed up for the 48 ways of wisdom from Aish.com. And one of them was explaining the importance of having clear definitions to be able to make correct evaluations of the results you see in your life.
For example many people say they are into healthy eating. But what do they mean by healthy eating? eating organic meat, being vegetarian, eating fruits? You have to research each area to find out the truth of the matter not simply what you believe to be the truth. Truth remember can stand on it's own merit, it is verifiable, it is does not need belief to stand it up. And so you go and do your research and find that actually meat is not a requirement for health in fact it can be a requirement for anti-health. Then of course you have the decision to eat it or not, both options equally valid. But both options giving different results either in the short term or the long term.
When you say you want to be fit what do you mean by fit? Why do you want to be fit? What is the best way to become fit? Are you committed (single-mindedly focussed). Do you know that fit is not the same as healthy? Fit simply means being able to achieve certain feats usually within certain time limits. It doesn't necessarily mean healthy eating and lifestyle habits are present. We've all done things through sheer force of will! Healthy and fit go together, one without the other is none at all.
Clarity brings consciousness which empowers commitment.

How I Got Here
Exercise: Push ups
Food: Green smoothie - mango, celery, strawberries and spinach, Green salad - baby greens, avocado, vine and sundried tomato with Itsu shallot dressing, 8 bananas, a few dates and some pistachios
Just ate 4 bananas when I got in about 10.30pm. Wasn't really hungry but they were perfectly ripe. I'm still up two hours later so at least they will be digested. Am going to experiment with not eating later and see what effect that might have.
I started eating vegan about four years ago now or a bit longer. I have always had a strong interest in health and food. And even when I was little I remember thinking there must be a way to eat that leads to health and where your body is at its ideal weight without having to monitor anything. Thinking back that was quite a profound thought for a little one! It was obviously a manifesting of my purpose but I didn't quite grasp how to work it out. Borne out by the fact that I worked in a fast food place while I was a student! Although the choice served me well at the time. More tomorrow..

I Eat Raw
I started eating raw about four and a half years ago, when I started eating vegan. Although at the time I didn't realise I was eating 'raw' or 'high raw' and the significance for my health. More about how I came to eat a vegan type diet will come later....
My main reason for getting this blog started is to be able to talk about health, raw food etc without boring my friends silly! I love everything to do with health and wholeness. I will record what I eat daily. It helps me keep a log that I can track over time and hopefully it will be of help and interest to you.

Exercise: Went for run and pushups
Food: Canteloupe milk smoothie, just delicious creamy and sweet without the cow stuff! - a whole melon and no added water. I put in a tablespoon of raw honey (optional).
Early afternoon, a lot of organic Deglet Noor dates, a pineapple and strawberry smoothie. Deglet Noor dates are my favourite so far. They are a little bit nutty and not too sweet. I find Medjools very sweet, same with Halawis although I can eat them. Look forward to trying some other varieties.
Early evening, we were on the road, so made the most of it. I had packed a little salad of baby leaves, fresh tomato and avocado but by that time was ravenous and needed some urgent additions. Picked up some antipasti, sun-blushed tomatoes, mushrooms, and an edamame/greens salad from EAT, mixed everything up and then ate it all up! Felt deliciously full but light at the same time.
Had some more dates later at home with, lots of water and lemon.
