Exercise: Escalators, walking
Juice (lent): Apple/spinach/lime and pineapple juice and orange juice
Yesterday was feeling a bit vulnerable, nothing major just something hovering in the background. The day had been going great I'd had a coaching session late morning and then got stuck into some financial stuff as it was raining so couldn't go for a run! Went out later and also spent time chatting to a friend. But it was later when I got home that a situation came from leftfield. I didn't handle it very well and I still feel rather drained. Early night went straight out the window.
I think if I had been eating solids I might have gone and bought a bag of chips! I probably would have eaten something, more like overeaten something. But I could feel the upset in my stomach. Really understood the advice of not eating when upset or feeling negative emotions it only stresses the body. So thank God I wasn't eating!
But afterwards I was glad it had happened I got to see more of me and also an emptying too. Thanks 'lovely friend' for your encouraging words. I feel raw (pun unintended) but at peace. I also got to make a choice that maybe I wouldn't have made before, so that is growth even if it was very messy.
On a lighter note I went for a friend's birthday drinks on Saturday at a club in the West End. Another friend who I was chatting to, asked me if I was a dancer. I just assumed because we were in a club that she was asking if I liked dancing. So I replied yes, because I love dancing. And then she asked 'ballet?' And I said 'no why do you think that?' and she said 'because you are so lean.' A ballet dancer!

Raw London
Exercise: Pushups
Food: 3 tiny bananas, 6 large bananas, a few lara bars, green salad with tomatoes and cucumber, a little pineapple juice
London is great place in case you didn't know. And I love doing raw here. It's so easy to get fresh produce all year round, plus you can easily get mangos, papayas and even guavas and coconuts from the local supermarket.
Bananas are everywhere, as are juice and smoothie bars, chopped salad places, nuts and dried fruit stalls, you can even get freshly squeezed orange juice from the AMT coffee stand in most rail stations. Pre-packaged salads in the supermarkets are creative and plentiful including raw vegan options. And of course Wholefoods and Fresh and Wild (bought by Wholefoods). I picked up frozen acai berries from Wholefoods recently so I get to try out that 'chocolaty' (but not chocolate) smoothie I had in New York. I have at least four juice/smoothie bars within walking distance of where I work, and two chopped salad bars, not to mention good old Marks and Spencer's. You may not have all this, but celebrate what you do have, it'll spur you on. This is a great time to be alive!

Juice, Glorious Juice
Sun 23 Sept 2007
Exercise: run, push ups, running up escalators
Food: Breakfast: Woke up feeling hungry, had about 500g of dates and lots of water with a squeeze of lemon, and mango and banana pudding (2 bananas and mango) whizzed up in my shiny new Blendtech blender. It's also beautifully designed!
Around 4pm had some sun-dried tomatoes and olives. I don't normally have much of these but have a desire for their tartness/chewyness, maybe due to time of the month. So going with it. Have some more olives, but a bit salty. I think we can safely say I won't be having again for a while.
Around 9pm had a litre of fresh orange and celery juice, and am currently sipping fresh pineapple and celery juice. It is just so yummy to guzzle. I don't normally have much juice when eating my normal raw diet, mainly when fasting. But I suspect I'm drawn to it after the saltiness and tartness of the antpasti.
I just love to move so much more when I eat this way. I feel myself literally flying across the pavement as I'm going from A to B.
Yesterday and today's food logs are not actually typical of what I regularly eat. I might try and put info up from the past month or so. My staple foods are bananas, I have eaten up to 20 in a day although usually around 8-12 now. That is amazing in itself, as I couldn't eat bananas since I was a child due to a reaction I got. But following my extended fast last year I can. I still want to pinch myself. Am very grateful to God as it would be hard going raw-wise without a filling, versatile, sweet staple like bananas.
